San Diego Harbor Parade of Lights
San Diego Harbor

This colorful event is held in December of each year and celebrates the holiday season by dressing up local boats in strands of flickering lights and parading them through the harbor to the delight of all who watch.

Fiesta Cinco de Mayo
Old Town San Diego

During the week including May 5 or the weekend nearest May 5, Old Town goes all out for Mexico's holiday with food booths, dancing, mariachis and other live entertainment on seven stages. Activities for the kids, stagecoach rides, an equestrian show and historical reenactments are also popular.

Fleet Week
San Diego Harbor

Every year, the Navy and Marine Corps come together to celebrate their military heritage. Events include a ship parade, the sailing of the "Star of India," aerial shows performed by the Blue Angels and other groups, fireworks, and much more.
